Progress Summit: Iowa – SESSION 2: Volunteer Community and Advocacy Groups)

Progress Summit: Iowa – SESSION 2: Volunteer Community and Advocacy Groups)

Inspired by Iowa’s Deep Roots activists, Chris Adcock, a rural organizer and the 3rd Vice Chair-Rural Action for the Iowa Democratic Party, introduces “Progress Summit: Iowa.”

The Summit itself will consist of two virtual events, one held on August 8th and the other on August 29th. The overarching goal of “Progress Summit: Iowa” is to open and increase communication and collaboration within Iowa’s Democratic activists, volunteers, marginalized communities, and advocacy groups and to provide a platform for groups to share information and best practices. We believe this is the next step in ensuring more Democrats are elected up and down the ticket, regain the majority in the Iowa Legislature, and send more Iowa Democrats to Washington DC.

Volunteer Community and Advocacy Groups: August 29, 2021, 2:00pm (virtual)

This is a platform for groups across Iowa to explain their unique vision, methods, membership, geography, resources, measures of success, etc.

Information will be 5×5 Presentations – groups have 5 Slides in 5 minutes

In order to broaden the Democratic ecosystem beyond the official party structures, presenters are intended to be groups beyond Democratic County Party & Constituency Caucus structure

If you are interested in presenting special projects or initiatives within the party structure, please register as a presenter and someone from the Summit planning team will be in touch.
